Conference – Cultural and religious pluralism and peaceful coexistence in Kosovo

Aiming to Contribute to further enlargement of relations between existing religious communities in Kosovo, NGO HUMAN, in cooperation with religious communities and CSO’s, has successfully completed conference in Pejë/Pec, with the involvement of religious leaders and youth from different religious communities in Kosovo.

Conference gathered participants from five municipalities in Kosovo (Peja, Prizren, Gjilan, Ferizaj and Mitrovica). These participants have participated last year in the activities organized in all these five municipalities and has jointly visited and enjoyed various Cultural and Religious Heritage Sites, getting to know each other’s culture and religion and at each of five gatherings the day was completed with the productive discussion on the topic “Cultural and religious pluralism and peaceful coexistence in Kosovo”.

During the conference, participants had the chance to express their impression from last year gatherings and enjoyed watching together documentary, realized in coproduction between RTV Fontana and Radio Gorazhdevc.

Conference continued with productive discussion in panel composed by leaders/representatives from religious communities and in interaction with present participants, jointly was concluded that there is a necessity to have more gatherings, aiming to empower dialogue between different cultures and religious communities.

Activities were organized within the project “Interfaith youth engagement in Kosovo”, supported by U.S. Embassy in Kosovo.
